Please welcome Craig L. Orndorff as the new Program Coordinator at Belle Grove, a National Trust Historic Site in Middletown, Virginia. He graduated this month from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in History and Government and completed his senior thesis was on Gen. John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg. He’s worked in the Virginia House of Delegates and on several local political races, but as he says, “history is my first love”. At Belle Grove, he’ll be responsible for both adult and children’s education, interpretation of the house and grounds, historical research, managing major events, marketing, and press relations. His current major projects are research on Harmony Hall (a historic site owned by Belle Grove, Inc.) and the Bowman Family, reevaluating the current interpretative program, and starting the early stages of a new project on Issac Hite’s life before Belle Grove. Looks like he’ll be quite busy!
