The National Trust for Historic Preservation is pleased to announce the mini-grant awards and training scholarships from the Interpretation and Education Fund, providing $4,450 to five National Trust Historic Sites:
- $1,000 to Drayton Hall to support the participation of the Director of Museum Interpretation at the American Association for State and Local History annual meeting.
- $1,000 to the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio to support the participation of the Vice President of Museum Programs at the Web Wise Conference of the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
- $450 to the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio to support the participation of the Youth and Family Programs Coordinator and the Museum Educator in the Architecture and Design Network conference.
- $1,000 to President Lincoln’s Cottage to support interpretation of sustainable design and practice through a self-guided tour that includes an exhibit panel, brochure, and podcast.
- $1,000 to Drayton Hall to enhance the capacity and conditions of the outdoor classroom space for educational programs.
The National Trust received five applications and we were delighted to have sufficient funds to support all five applications at the levels requested. The next deadline for applications will be February 15, 2010 and a new grant guidelines and application form will be released by January 1, 2010.
