We’ve all encountered passionate fans but this tops them all. Henrick Knudsen has just opened a replica of Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley, in Randers, Denmark–”the ultimate tribute to the King of Rock-n-Roll”. But it’ll be even better than the original at twice the size to accommodate a store (which offers pieces of Elvis’ clothes), restaurant (the Highway 51 Diner serving fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches), party room, concert venue, and museum (collections on loan from the president of the Official Elvis Presley Fan Club of Denmark). Why didn’t Priscilla think of this? A new model for historic site sustainability?
More from the BBC (including a video!) and the Graceland Randers website (you’ll want to use Google Translate)
That’s great news to open Graceland in Denmark. I would like to be the member of its community. Here I am looking forward for your next post about that.
