Subscribe to this blog’s RSS feed and be notified when someone posts a message, comment or file. To subscribe, click on the orange RSS button (just up to the left) or go to http://historicsites.wordpress.com/feed/. You’ll need a “feed reading application” (aka “news aggregator”) and if you don’t have one, we recommend NetVibes or Google Reader (they’re both free) from thousands that are available.

RSS allows you to keep track of a large number of your favorite Web sites or blogs, without having to remember to check each site manually or clutter your email Inbox. You can now streamline your online experience by subscribing to specific content feeds and aggregating this information in one place to be read when you’re ready. It allows you to review a large amount of online content in a very short time (and our expectation is to have 1-3 posts per week, so you shouldn’t be deluged). You can learn more at www.feedburner.com or watch the RSS in Plain English video from Common Craft.
