Tired of visiting this blog? There are two ways that it can come to you:
1. E-Newsletter
Take a minute to subscribe to our e-newsletter mailing list and we’ll send you a monthly (or thereabouts) summary of the recent highlights. You’ll have the news delivered to your email box but it won’t be as timely (just monthly) and comprehensive (highlights is highlights).
2. RSS
This takes a bit more skill but if read lots of different blogs or Web sites, this is a great way to save time. RSS allows you to keep track of a large number of your favorite Web sites or blogs, without having to remember to check each site manually or clutter your email Inbox. You streamline your online experience by subscribing to specific content feeds and aggregating this information in one place to be read when you’re ready. It allows you to review a large amount of online content in a very short time (and our expectation is to have 1-3 posts per week, so you shouldn’t be deluged). You can learn more at www.feedburner.com or watch the RSS in Plain English video from Common Craft.
First, get a “feed reading application” (aka “news aggregator”) and if you don’t have one, we recommend NetVibes or Google Reader (they’re both free) from the thousands that are available. Then, subscribe to this blog’s RSS feed by clicking on the orange RSS button (at the top) or go to http://historicsites.wordpress.com/feed/ and adding the “feed address” to your news aggregator (each one is slightly different).
